What is Slowgram?
Slowgram is a monthly subscription-based greeting card delivery service that provides you with everything you need to send heartfelt, handwritten cards each month. Our mission is to make connecting with your community easy, intentional, and fun—with a dash of snail mail nostalgia and a lot of puns.
How does it work?
Subscribe: Choose the plan that is right for you. Subscriptions auto-renew; we'll have an annual plan eventually.
Receive Your Kit: Each month, you'll get beautifully designed cards, envelopes, and postage, and more.
Write and Send: Add your personal touch and drop them in the mailbox. Easy peasy!
What types of cards are included?
Every month, you'll receive a mix of card designs tailored to various occasions: birthdays, thank-yous, just-because notes, and more. Each kit balances thoughtful, fun, and quirky vibes to match Slowgram's playful tone. Cards are painted by Katy, and printed on premium, sturdy (16pt) 5x7 paper so you have plenty of room to write.
When Will I Receive My Cards?
If you place your order by 11:59 PM on the 1st of the month, your cards will ship out as part of that month’s shipment. We ship by the 7th of the month, and you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email. If you order after the 1st, your cards will be included in the following month’s shipment. Don’t worry—it gives you extra time to plan all the meaningful connections you’ll be making! (Ex: An order placed at 11:58pm on 2/1 will receive February cards (shipped on 2/7). An order placed at 12:01am 2/2 will receive March card shipment.)
What is a Snail Trail Card?
A Snail Trail Card is your personalized tracker for all the amazing connections you create. Think of it as a log to keep track of the cards you've sent, who received them, and when they were mailed. It's a simple way to record the joy you're spreading and reflect on the intentional connections you've made along the way.
What’s with the price?
We know you can find a cheaper card—or dig into the stash you already have. But, Slowgram isn’t just about cards—it’s about the experience. The moment you know your kit is on its way, something magical happens. Your brain starts looking for reasons to send them, rewiring itself to focus on gratitude, connection, and positivity. Before the cards even arrive, your mood shifts, your outlook brightens, and those little ripples start to change the world around you.
It’s the excitement of opening your kit, the simplicity of having everything you need in one place. Every kit includes premium 16pt cardstock cards, Forever Stamps ($0.73 value each), and a nudge to reconnect with the people who matter. These aren’t just greeting cards; they’re tools for building joy and connection.
Plus, with Cards with Katy, we’re here to give you the space, encouragement, and community to turn those good intentions into heartfelt connections—turning a simple act into a lasting habit.
Do you include postage?
Absolutely! Each kit comes with five stamps, so you’re fully equipped to send your cards without a trip to the post office. Plus, shipping of the kit to your U.S. address is included.
Does size matter?
Of course! Our cards are 5x7 inches with blank interiors—no dinky cards here! There’s plenty of space for heartfelt messages, doodles, or whatever inspires you. Make them as unique as your recipient.
What if I don’t send all my cards in one month?
No problem! You can save any unused cards for later—they're timeless and can be used whenever inspiration strikes.
That said, the idea isn’t to clutter and save; it’s to have the kit arrive and get those cards out the door. As time goes on, you’ll hopefully find yourself looking and listening for reasons to send cards. The last thing we want is to add yet ANOTHER stack of unused cards to your desk or drawer! Use them to spread some joy as soon as they arrive.
Can I choose my cards?
Not yet! Each month’s selection is a bit of a gift to yourself, and part of the fun is the surprise. We hope to offer add-on options in the future and/or opportunities to purchase cards from past months, but for now, we’re just getting started.
Who creates the cards?
Katy does! She claims they "aren't even that good"... but, we like that they are a bit silly, approachable, and she's self-taught. She purposely aims to make the puns a little "veiled"... you might have to think about it for a minute. That's part of the "slow down", too.
What if my ship to and return addresses are different?
No problem! At checkout, you’ll provide the return address you want printed on the return address labels.
Can I gift a subscription?
Yes! Slowgram subscriptions make the perfect gift for anyone who loves meaningful connections. When purchasing, simply select the “Gift Subscription” option, and we’ll handle the rest. You can choose how long the subscription lasts, or you can make it last forever!
What’s the cancellation policy?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. However, cancellations must be made by the 15th of the month prior to avoid being charged for the next month. Just log in to your account and follow the cancellation instructions.
Why snail mail in a digital world?
Because nothing beats the joy of receiving a handwritten card! In a world of texts and emails, snail mail feels personal, intentional, and oh-so-special. Plus, writing cards can be a mindfulness practice that helps you slow down and appreciate your connections.
